Is there a maximum amount I can contribute to my IRA each year?
Depending on the type of IRA account, the IRS does place a limit and the amount that can be contributed on an annual basis. For the most common account types, Traditional and Roth IRA’s, this limit is currently, $5,000 if you are under the age of 50 and $6,000 if you are over 50.
